Advanced Non-Invasive Liver Diagnostics & Metabolic Monitoring in South Delhi
Diagnostic & Monitoring
A Fibroscan tells you exactly how much fat and scarring is in your liver — a standard ultrasound cannot. At Recompose Health, your Fibroscan isn't a one-off report you're handed and left to interpret alone. It's reviewed by a physician, repeated over time, and built into an actual treatment plan.

A Fibroscan, also known as transient elastography, is a painless, ultrasound-based scan that measures two specific things about your liver: how much fat has accumulated (the CAP score, measured in dB/m) and how much scarring or stiffness is present (the fibrosis score, measured in kPa). A routine abdominal ultrasound can tell you that fat is present in the liver, but it cannot quantify it or detect early scarring. Fibroscan can.
The test itself takes 10 to 15 minutes, requires no needles or sedation, and feels similar to a regular ultrasound — you'll feel a brief vibration on the skin as the probe sends painless waves through the liver. Across Delhi, this scan is widely available as a standalone diagnostic test at labs and imaging centres, priced anywhere from roughly ₹2,000 to ₹7,000. What's missing in most of those settings is what happens after the report is printed.
Most Fibroscans in Delhi end with a printed report. Ours is the start of a tracked, treated plan.
A Physician Reviews It, Not Just a Technician
Your CAP score and fibrosis score are interpreted in the context of your full metabolic picture — weight, blood sugar, lipids — not handed to you as an isolated number.
Tracked Over Time, Not a One-Off
A single Fibroscan is a snapshot. We repeat it through your treatment programme so you can actually see whether your liver is improving.
Connected to an Actual Treatment Plan
If your result indicates fatty liver or early fibrosis, your physician and dietician build a plan around it immediately — not a referral elsewhere.
Part of the Monthly Combined Report
For programme patients, Fibroscan trends appear alongside your other labs in one visual document, not a separate disconnected PDF.
A Dedicated Care Coordinator
Your appointment, results, and any flagged follow-up are managed by a named coordinator, not a call centre.
Standalone or Within a Programme
Book it as a one-time scan with physician review, or as part of an ongoing metabolic treatment programme — your choice.
Fatty Liver Found on Ultrasound
A routine scan flagged "mild" or "grade 1/2" fatty liver, and you want to know what that actually means.
Elevated Liver Enzymes
Raised ALT, AST, or GGT on a blood test, with no clear explanation so far.
Obesity, Diabetes or High Triglycerides
Any of the core metabolic risk factors strongly linked to fatty liver disease.
Tracking Treatment Progress
You're on a weight or metabolic treatment plan and want objective proof of whether your liver is responding.
1 | Before Your Scan Avoid food and drink (other than water) for at least 3 hours beforehand. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior. Continue your regular medications unless your physician advises otherwise. |
2 | During the Scan You'll lie on your back with your right arm raised. A clear gel is applied, and a small probe placed against your skin sends painless vibrations through the liver. The scan takes 10 to 15 minutes. |
3 | After the Scan Results are available immediately. Your physician reviews your CAP score and fibrosis score with you in the context of your overall health, and discusses next steps if any follow-up is needed. |
CAP Score — Liver Fat
Measured in dB/m, this score estimates the percentage of fat in your liver. Higher scores indicate greater fatty change (steatosis). This is the number most relevant to fatty liver (NAFLD/MASLD) assessment.
Fibrosis Score — Liver Stiffness
Measured in kPa, this score reflects scarring. A healthy liver typically measures between 2 and 6 kPa. Higher readings indicate greater fibrosis, staged from F0 (none) to F4 (cirrhosis).
These ranges are general reference points. Your result should always be interpreted by a physician alongside your full clinical picture, not read in isolation.

Book a Fibroscan with physician review, as a standalone test or as part of a full metabolic health assessment — transparent pricing, no obligation.

Fibroscan results must be interpreted by a qualified physician in the context of a patient's full clinical history; results are not a standalone diagnosis. In certain individuals, such as those with significant obesity or a large fat chest wall, scan accuracy may be reduced, and your physician may recommend additional or alternative testing. Fibroscan is a screening and monitoring tool and does not replace a liver biopsy where one is clinically indicated. This page is for informational purposes and does not constitute medical advice.
